Privacy Notice

This notice explains what Kurippu collects, why, who processes it, how long we keep it, and how you can control it. Kurippu is run by Aswin S Kumar, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. Contact: hello@kurippu.co.in.

What we collect and why

• Your email address, if you create an account: to sign you in and to contact you about your account.
• The case notes, writing task and letter you submit, and the feedback we produce: to grade your letter. If you are signed in, we save them so you can see them in My letters.
• A copy of the feedback for identical submissions, kept for 30 days under a one-way code made from the text, so the same letter always gets the same result.
• Usage records: when a letter was graded, linked to your account or, without an account, to a random browser ID and a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address. We use these only to apply the free and paid limits.
• Payment confirmation, when payments open: our payment provider (Razorpay) handles your card or UPI details. We receive only the payment status, amount and reference.
• Your destination choice (for example UK or Australia) is stored only in your own browser.

We do not sell your data, use your letters for advertising, or show them to other users.

Do not submit real patient information

Kurippu is for practice case notes only. Never paste real patients' names, ID numbers, phone numbers, addresses, hospital record numbers or other details that could identify a real person.

Who processes your data

• Vercel Inc. (website hosting; our servers run in Mumbai, India).
• Supabase Inc. (database and sign-in; data stored in Mumbai, India).
• AI providers that read your submission to produce the feedback: Groq Inc., Google (Gemini) and Anthropic, PBC, in the United States. Some of these currently run on free plans whose terms allow the provider to use submitted content to improve its services. We are moving grading to paid plans that do not use your content for training, and will update this notice when that is done.
• Razorpay Software Pvt. Ltd. (payments, once available).

How long we keep it

• Letters and feedback in My letters: until you delete them, or your account.
• Feedback kept for identical submissions: 30 days.
• Usage records: up to 12 months.
• Your account and email: until you ask us to delete your account.

Your choices and rights

• Delete any letter from My letters at any time.
• Ask us to show, correct or delete your data, or to delete your account, by emailing hello@kurippu.co.in. We reply within 7 days.
• You can stop using Kurippu at any time; withdrawing consent does not affect grading already done.
• If you are unhappy with our reply, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Cookies and browser storage

We use cookies to keep you signed in and, without an account, a random ID to count your free letter. We store your destination choice in your browser. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Age

Kurippu is for adults. You must be 18 or older to use it.
